Dental implant
Dental implants are the most effective way of replacing teeth and can do the following:
Replaces the root of the missing tooth and thus prevents migration of neighboring teeth.
- Allows fixed prosthesis in situations where removable prostheses would be used.
- Stops bone atrophy(decrease in bone mass).
- Prevents gum retraction and bone resorption.
The treatment consists of two stages:
- Surgical stage: introduction of titanium dental implant, followed by a period of 2 months of implant osteointegration.
- Prosthetic stage: mounting the dental crown.
It is recommended that you visit your dentist for periodic controls every six months and for a professional cleaning at least once a year.
